This book is set in the world of Conflict Investment. Large corporations invest in wars in small and remote countries: if the side they're backing, they get a share of GNP and other benefits. No matter if they're right or wrong. It's all about "will they win?" and "will it pay?".
It's a pretty harsh critique of global capitalism, I suppose, but also a pretty interesting story in itself. I bought the book from Verona on vacation, sitting by the pool made me read through my holiday book too soon and I had to get something new to read.
