Oryx and Crake
4 journalers for this copy...
due to popular demand - registering my beloved copy of Oryx and Crake.
but please people, i want it back in the end when you are all done, y'hear? ;0)
ok - a few thoughts.
this is a creepy book and really makes you think. it was one of those times i was actually happy that i am an observant jew since all this splicing is not allowed in our book (well however you want to call it LOL).
in that respect its the same type of thinking atwood had in Handmaid's Tale (which i do NOT recommend to mothers. ) - taking things to extremes and seeing where you end up. in this case, it doesnt end well....
but even though its creepy and weird etc etc, i really do recommend!
so enjoy! journal! and take care of my book! ;0)

This is my second Atwood book and the women gets freakier and creepier each time I read her.
This book is more than a sci-fi tale. It makes you think. It makes you ponder what society could become. Could we ever let it go this far? Could we de-evolve this much in our quest to evolve?
(The ending was frustrating for me, however.)

Very interesting!!! Definitely kept my attention throughout the book, wanting to know what would happen next....wanting to know what happened in the first place! Not sure I liked the ending, I like to have closure.
Finally journaling I caught the book. Thanks le7!!
This definitely was an intriguing book. It was interesting to see the story unfolding although a bit frustrating at times that it was drawn out and didn't get to the main elements of what happened sooner. Yet another well written Atwood book that leaves you definitely thinking.
