As a teenager (and for quite a few years after that), I obsessively collected all the spin-off Star Wars books, but after a while there were just too many of them coming out, so I gave up. I still pick up the odd one when they're going cheap, though.

Pretty tedious stuff. It suffers from that worst of Science Fiction sins - lack of imagination. I know authors of these spin-off books have to stay within the Star Wars universe, but that doesn't excuse blatant recycling.
