I really enjoyed this book--New York in the 1890's was well imagined, and it was fun to see historical figures like Theodore Roosevelt (as N.Y.'s Police Chief), J.P. Morgan, Jacob Riis, and Paul Kelly in fictional action. The plot was complicated, as a good crime mystery's should be, and the story itself was engrossing.
I released this book at the home of a friend in Seattle's Wedgewood neighborhood on Sunday, February 25, 2007.
