This book was bought long ago at a Plymouth Public Library booksale.
Jonathan Thomas Meriweather was a graduate student and part time rock guitarist before he was transported to this world of magic and talking animals. This book continues as he is apprenticed to the wizard (and turtle) Clothahump. The wizard and apprentice are accompanied by Mudge the Otter (a rather dirty minded fellow) and the beautiful Talea (one of the few other humans in the story) in search of allies against the Plated Folk.

I found the book at Arisia. There was another Book Crossing book on the same table, which I did not take. I chose this one because I'd read book 1 of the series some years ago and I'm a fan of the author. I will probably release it at the World Science Fiction Convention in Anaheim in October after I've finished with it.
I preferred the first book of the series, which had more music references but Foster is usually a fun read. The book will leave for Anaheim tomorrow.
