I was a big fan of Irvine Welsh in my rebel teen days. However, I've gone off him a bit as I have gotten older. The Acid House is a good collection of short stories that are not for the easily offended. The novella at the end of the book is titled A Smart Cunt which has a background story about the main character's mother running throughout it. Granny's Old Junk and Eurotrash were two of my favourites from the short story section.

I might be sending this book out into the world as part of my 21st birthday celebrations.

I found the book on the back seat of a Tour Bus outside the Guinness Hop Store. I read about half of it waiting for a delayed plane home but won't be reading any more as it's not really to my liking.
