From the publisher...

At least Betsy Taylor's priorities are clear. While most women would love to live as royalty, Betsy has found that being vampire queen has more problems than perks, except for always being awake for Midnight Madness sales. And the employees at her nightclub Scratch have been giving her nothing but grief since she killed their former boss. Some people...

But Betsy's "life" takes an interesting turn at a shower for her wicked stepmother, who let it slip that Betsy has a long-lost half-sister. Now twenty years old, this woman just so happens to be the devil's daughter- and destined to rule the world...

A light and fluffy read I was able to finish in a couple of hours. It has a slow start and wasn't as funny as the previous 2 books in the series, but there were still some moments that I thought were positively inspired. Sinclair was delicious as always, and Laura a fun addition to the already interesting cast of characters. All that was missing was the Road Warriors or Blade Warriors or whatever it is that they're called....

Most of all, I liked the fact that the author brought Sinclair and Betsy's relationship to the next level, and showed us some of Betsy's vulnerabilities. And if Betsy seemed less interesting than she was in the other books....Well, hopefully she'll be able to get all her sparks back in her next outing...

Decided to organized a bookring with this book. Can't wait to see what other people think of it.

1/17/06

Okay, here's the final order for the bookring. I have tried to accomodate everyone's shipping preferences and since it's only my 2nd bookring, please bear with me! Since this is a small book that can probably be read in about 2-3 hours, hopefully we'll be able to get through everyone in a timely manner. The usual consideration for bookrings apply- we're all pros so I won't bore anyone with the specifics...

The book arrived by mail today.

I'm about half-way through now. It's interesting so far but I'm a bit confused. I think I missed a book or two since this is the first one I've read of the series. But so far, I'm enjoying it.

Thanks for clearing up the BCID confusion.

Finished! It was a good book. I probably would have liked it better after reading the first books in the series. I'll look for them next. Kind of backwards but these things happen...

Dropped in the mail today, first class, and it's on its way to England! Thanks for giving me the chance to read it.

Another great installment in the series. Ireally love these books, the characters are smart and funny and the introduction of Laura is perfect. Can't wait to read more.

Finished this book a shor time ago. Really disappointed in this one! Had no plot or story. Went on and then just ended abrubtly. I really like this series but this one was not good. I look forward to reading more to see where the story line leads to. The addition of Laura was interesting. I will read the next one as I still like the series. This one was like a buffer book to fill the details out leading to the next one.

PM'ed SpaceyStacey and will send off shortly.
