got this as a present, and it's been sitting on my shelves... my mother read it and enjoyed it.
handing this off to a sister of a friend, TurkishVann
Thanks, "Amykin" I always liked Lahiri's short stories in the New Yorker and this one was an interesting read.
I got this from TurkishVann. It seems like a good book, I will try to read it soon.
I really enjoyed reading this book! I finished it in a couple of days. The fact that my family moved to the US from another country made the book funnier and more relatable. The book was very descriptive and the characters realistic. An interesting aspect of the book was learning about Indian culture. I am looking forward to reading "The Interpreter of Maladies" by the same author. I will figure out a good place to hide this book in.
