I found this fair-condition paperback in the swap shop of Nashua's Four Hills landfill/recycle center. The plot sounds intriguing - a bereft man learns of the mysterious disappearance of a famous comedian of the silent-film era and decides to research his life for a book, which leads him on some long and surprising journeys.
