I'm not a big fan of Dean Koontz. His writing style is too overly-simplistic for my taste, and though his plots seem quite interesting, his [writer's] voice is still like nails-on-a-chalkboard to me. He is not without merit, of course. Koontz wrote two wonderfully frightening books (INTENSITY and WATCHERS), and TICK TOCK was quite amusing.
