I admit it. I am a Trekkie. Trekker. Whatever. I love the whole Star Trek universe. I could kiss the feet of the people who invented syndication. My favorite installment is The Next Generation series. A former roommate gave me this book for my birthday a few years ago and I still love it. Not only does it have the more up-front glamorous entertainment stuff, it has a great deal of information about the behind-the-scenes nitty-gritty detail that goes into putting a TV show together. A friend who is also a Trek fan took a look through it and told me he thought it kind of destroyed the appeal of the Trek world by showing it *as* a TV program. To me that increased the appeal because it showed the number of people who were dedicated to making Next Gen an inviting, realistic experience for the viewer and, in doing so, shared in the dream.
