I read this but I don't remember too much about it. Maybe I'll give it another try.
I'm still in the process of moving so I'm trying to reduce the number of books I'll move. I'll bring this one to tonight's meeting.
I haven't read anything by Toni Morrison before but have thought frequently that I should give this title a try. Thanks Matty - I'm looking forward to it.
This is a beautifully written and tragic novel set in Ohio at the end of the Great Depression. It is about an eleven-year-old black girl, Pecola Breedlove, who lives with her unhappy parents and brother. She believes she is ugly and prays for her eyes to turn blue, thinking that this will change her life.
I'm going to see if any of my book club members are interested in this one before I release it.
