The Hammer of Eden
4 journalers for this copy...
My mom passed this one along to me some time ago, but I've never gotten around to reading it. I'd really be interested to hear what someone else thinks of this one...maybe that will be enough to get me to read it.
From the back cover:
"The FBI doesn't believe it. The Governor wants the problem to disappear. But agent Judy Maddox knows the threat is real: An extreme group of eco-terrorists has the means and the know-how to set off a massive earthquake of epic proportions. For California, time is running out.
Now Maddox is scrambling to hunt down a petty criminal turned cult leader turned homicidal mastermind. Because Judy knows that the dying has already begun. And soon, the earth will violently shift, bolt, and shake down to its very core..."
According to the bio in the back, Mr. Follett lives in London, so I have no idea how well he nailed California living.

I went by The Underground to release this one, but it was inexplicably closed.

RELEASE NOTES:
I tried twice to leave this at The Underground, but both times it was closed during normal business hours. Anyone know if there's any truth to the rumor that it's closing?
Anyways, I gave up on The Underground and left this one in the wicker basket across from order pick up, one of the OBCZ's at The Coffee Bean. Sadly, I was unable to find any other books...it looks like our OBCZs had run dry.

Thank you for leaving this Ken Follett book - one I haven't as yet read. I found the book at the Coffee Bean and Tea Leaf on Main St. and Telephone Rd. If the couple who released the book was sitting at the adjacent table when I arrived, thank you. If someone else, thank you! I have left several books over the last couple of years at Java Joes on Johnson Dr - near the Century 16 Theaters. They have a bookrack with a policy of taking a book with you and returning it, or another one, at a later date. I believe in recycling books you enjoy, so this program and web site are welcome news to me. Thanks again!
Cheers!

katintheboots is correct, I relased the book back at the location at which I found it about eight hours ago. It was an entertaining read, but not a surprise as I enjoy Ken Follet's other works. Thanks again, diatom45
