SPOILERS!!!! Don't read further unless you want to know something about the ending.

A good thriller, well written and tense....but I didn't find the ending very satisfying. Although I liked the fact that the heroine used her wits to obtain revenge on her nasty ex-boyfriend, I didn't feel that it was enough. Did her family and friends still disbelieve her? That was never resolved. She may have found happiness with her new man but no long term security. Perhaps the possibility of a sequel.....?

This is the first Nicci French I have read and I really enjoyed it. She tells a good story. The first half of the book I found really wizzed by and the second was a bit slower but still enjoyable. Now on its way to Ladysmith

This actually arrived on Tuesday I think, but I was in a mad rush as I was going away for a few days and I didn't get to journal it. Will read asap and get it on its way!

This is the second Nicci French I've read, and I enjoy her style - I agree with the comments about the ending though.

I've pm'd Rillaith for an address so hopefully the book will be on its way soon.

Arrived this morning. In true tradition, a few rings arrived at once after none for ages, so I shall be getting to this probably shortly after Easter!

Received safely today, thanks very much to Rillaith for sending it along! I'll be starting it in the next day or so and by all accounts it's so gripping I'll not be taking long to finish it!

Journal Entry 14 by ScaryFaerie from Wolverhampton, West Midlands United Kingdom on Tuesday, May 16, 2006
This was an excellent read, it was my first Nicci French but won't be my last! I'm just waiting for rembath's address before I send it on.

**************SPOILER*************

I must admit I was a little disappointed by the end of the book, I thought after the letter to Naomi that things would have a totally climactic ending but they just kind of fizzled out. I was half-expecting what happened with Naomi to happen, but I still enjoyed the fast pace of the book and the way the plot hung together - definitely not one I wanted to put down.

I am sorry to say that this seems to be a lost bookring.
It has been sent on to rembath who admits she has received it (over a year ago) but has never journalled it or sent it on.
I'm just sorry for those who were waiting to read it.
