I read this book a year or more ago, and while I don't have too many recollections of it, I must have liked it because I kept it:) Now its finding a new home with Tenneh who I'm sending this to as one of the winners of my first ever RACBK drawing.

I had a really hard time getting into this one. By page 88, I still hadn't found "the mystery" but I had learned a lot about New Orleans and the Mardi Gras!! While the book was ok, I think it needed a lot more of the mystery and maybe a little less of the descriptions.

Great book. I enjoyed it very much. It pulled me in to the very end. Don't think I'll try any of the recipes in the back though.
