Part of a series called "The Elements of Fiction Writing." How to get your characters talking to each other in a way that vividly reveals who they are, what they're doing, and what's coming next in your story. The author is the founding director of the Program in Writing Arts at the State University of New York College at Oswego, one of the oldest and largest undergraduate writing programs in the United States, where he teaches the writing of poetry and fiction. (cover/inside blurb)

Once upon a time I planned on writing novels. Never happened. But this was a useful learning tool!

So far, it's not really very high-level discussion. I guess it's useful for an overview or structures, and for terms and definitions. And for someone not familiar with writing basics, this would be a great beginners book. Will journal more later -- it may get more involved after.
