Das Buch reist mit der englischen bookbox.
Got this book out of my bookbox. I've read the German version of it at least twice, but perhaps I'll read it again in English now.

Jill felt particularly miserable that dull autumn term at her dreadful school. As Eustace tried to comfort her with stories about the enchanted fairy-tale place he´d visited last holidays, she decided that their only hope was to escape and find that magical land. So mustering all their will-power, they dived under the laurels and heaved at the door in the stone wall. Once out of the school grounds, out of England, out of our whole world into That Place, begins one of the most exciting adventures to happen in Narnia, for Aslan gives the children the task of finding Rilian, the beloved son of King Caspian who has disappeared on his journey to seek out the killer of his mother. To help Jill and Eustace on their mission of search and rescue, Aslan gives them 4 signs to obey. They must hurry for Caspian is old, but in their haste they forget 3 of the vital signs. Time and chance seem to be against them from the start.
The Chronicles of Narnia:
1) The Magician´s Nephew
2) The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe
3) The Horse and His Boy
4) Prince Caspian
5) The Voyage of the "Dawn Treader"
6) The Silver Chair
7) The Last Battle

Finally I read this book for the "Reduce Mount to be read" - challenge (September-Aufgabe: Doppelt hält besser - The author should have a "double" name).
It was a true "Narnian" book, with magic and the good ones winning in the end. I quite enjoyed it, especially the way Jill always thinks about what others might think if she says something or behaves in a special way...
I quite liked the character of the Marsh-wiggle (who "took a serious view of life", always fearing the worst!) and what he says after Jill's and Eustace's first night at his home:
"'Ah,' said the Marsh-wiggle, shaking his head. 'I see you're making the best of a bad job. That's right. You've been well brought up, you have. You've learned to put a good face on things.'" (p. 64)
Thanks for sending me this book, PrincessRainbow!
If somebody wants to read it, I'll put it on "AVL" for now - or it might end up in my "still-to-pack-Fantasy-bookbox"...
