If you grew up in a small town on the Canadian Prairies you have to read this book.
If you didn't, well, you don't HAVE to read this book - but you should. You'll love it. Toews does a brilliant job. The main character, Nomi has a dry, sharp wit mixed with a deep sorrow that will move you.
This is definitely another "I laughed, I cried" book, and it has taken me a couple of days to puzzle out the meaning of the title.
Enjoy.
