The best Atwood novel I've read so far...
Even better than The Handmaid's tale.
An intense reading, which I found a bit confusing to follow at first, I have to admit (but perhaps it was due to the fact I started the book on my wasy to work: getting on and off a train, a bus and a tram doesn't help reading, I'm afraid!)
When I got into the story I couldn't put it down...
Great book!
I plan to give it on loan to my Irish friend John, who never read a novel by Margaret Atwood. I hope he will join us and become a bookcrosser! If not, I will try to let the book travel in a way or another.
thanks again palomaranch!

I gave the book to John. Hope he will register it as soon as possible...
I caught the book from Miss Piggott in Rome. As an Irishman living in Rome I got to know her through English/Italian conversation exchange. This is my first Atwood novel and I must say I thoroughly enjoyed it. Apart from the whole device of the novel within a novel, her storytelling is gripping right to the end, as is her characterisation of not only the narrator but also characters such as Reenie. Most of all I enjoyed the insight into old age and Iris's thoughts on a younger generation's perception of her. Many thanks again to all for the book. I intend to pass it on to somebody else here in Rome and will let you know once I have.
