I loved this book! It had all the elements of chick lit that I love (lovable female protagonist who struggles realistically with relationships, quirky friends, family members who mean well, but cause problems, etc.) without having all the elements I don't like (whiny main character, totally unrealistic situations, cardboard flat supporting characters). I really couldn't put this book down. It was a great look athow family, while meaning very well, can certainly put a damper on our pursuit of happiness!

Thanks again, Melinda for passing this one along to me. I'm sorry that I won't get to thank you in person at the convention. Not sure yet of the fate of this book...

Edited 4/10/06: I've sent this one on to KarinAlyssa as part of a reverse wishlist relay. Enjoy!

this is chick lit at its peak ! Erica Orloff didn't find in the same trap other authors of the same genre do and wrote about a strong woman knowing what she was doing at all time ! Family is one of the themes that is so often neglected by chick lit writers except to say that the parents don't know anything without ever explaining why. Here, Erica Orloff took the time to not only present the family once, but at various time, some members were there and it was easy to understand their reactions but also Teddi's. This is a great chick lit writer and I can't wait to read more of her books. Thanks Ri !

One of the better Chic Lit books out there. Full of alot of humor and a main character that is very likeable along with her roommate who is extremely entertaining(she almost steals the show).
