Kipling (Short Stories)
2 journalers for this copy...
Some of these stories are quite dated, although still readable, but "The Man Who Would Be King" is just as wonderful as ever. Very interesting collection.

Aye, it was a mighty struggle... well not really, for the little buggar was just askin' t'be lifted! It just sat thar on the mighty steps of the grand old library... OK they were more like moderate steps, but they was concrete! As I spied the little paperback it cried out to me "I'm not lost!" it says. So I cautiously stepped up to the little guy, so as not to startle 'em you see, and I just nabbed 'em! Right there out front of the House of Public Books! Then I noticed the little guy was offerin' me a chance to travel to exotic lands under the guide of a true master of literary work, Mr. Kipling himself! And not just a single story was placed in my hands, no, but a whole gammit of wonderful and strange stories that only someone as colorful as Mr. Kipling could offer! ('The Man who would be King' is truely a gem worth coveting!) So soon, as I finish my own travels with the little guy I plan on releasing him back into the great wild lands of the fair Nor'west. I'll let you know when and where later!
