Simon Frederick Cynter knows that a perfect bride - and a perfect lover - are one and the same. So he sets about finding a mate to suit his needs - someone who will be a perfect lady by day... and a wantom lover by night. But Simon is not about to broadcast his search to the entire ton and run the risk of every dowager foisting her flighty charges upon him. Instead, he carefully begins his search at a house party at Glossup Hall... and is astonished when willfully independent Portia Ashford immediately captures his interest.

Received today from Anitaba in Italy... I'll post more comments ASAP.
I enjoyed this book - a nice easy read with which to while away a cold winter day. The mystery is somewhat predictable, but the romance is quite sexy. However, I had to keep reminding myself that women in Victorian days weren't necessarily told about "the bird and the bees", therefore it was excusable that the heroine be so ignorant of such things. She certainly learned quickly!
