The problem with being a bounty hunter is it's all on-the-job training. And Stephanie Plum is still learnign the ways to get yourself killed. Take the case of Maxine Norwicki...

When Maxine failed to turn up for her day in court, Stephanie was given the simple task of bringing her in. Except Maxine's boyfriend has nwo begun receiving mysterious, coded notes from the runaway that hint at buried treasure.

In fact the notes are so undecipherable that Stephanie has to call on the help of Sally Sweet, giant drag queen adn code-breaker extraordinaire. And Steph's knight errant, cop Joe Morelli, is also proving useful - although he can't decide what he wants most: Maxine's bounty or Stephanie's body.

Meanwhile, a friend loses a finger, a mother is scalped, an apartment is firebombed and a store clerk is murdered. And out in the street the crazy treasure hunt game goes on...

Yet another great read from Evanovich. Fast pace, witty dialogue and strong characters make this an easy, yet enjoyable book.

More murder & mayhem in Trenton. Stephanie makes a new friend Sally, a 6ft plus drag queen! Grandma Mazur lends a hand. AND there's some hot stuff going on between Stephanie & Morelli. Nuff said.

Will PM Vespa for her address.

Thank you! I do so like coming home to bookcrossing post. Especially when it contains chocolate - just as well I received it before New Year! ;¬)

Journal Entry 9 by WistfulDragon from Streatham, Greater London United Kingdom on Saturday, December 31, 2005
Great fun - and a quick read, as always! I love the neighbourhood rumour mill. The talk of food all the time is not such a fun thing though, when I'm supposed to be cutting down.....oh well, that can start tomorrow! The chocolate has gone though. It seems I eat faster when reading an exciting book, I must look out some dull reading matter!
I'll PM Ragtimebabe for an address.

Thanks for this! I've read up to Three, and I have Five around here somewhere, so I wanted Four to fill in the gap. I haven't got any current read, so I'll start this one straight away. And the good thing about this book is that it's nice and small - should fit in well with the new postal system ;-)

Journal Entry 14 by loopy1 from Herne Bay, Kent United Kingdom on Wednesday, August 23, 2006
I really enjoyed this book. I'm getting to enjoy Stephanie's adventures, and her problems with Morelli and Ranger.
Thanks!

This arrived today as an RABCK from loopy1! Thank you very much :-) 'Two For the Dough' is next on my pile and I have 'Three to Get Deadly' on it's way to me as a ray so I will eventually get round to this and it's one less to hunt down!

Journal Entry 17 by mellowdaisy on Wednesday, January 17, 2007
Finally got round to this one after wading my way through rings. This is my favourite yet, I was laughing all the way through. I can just imagine Stephanie's new friend, Sally! I'm loving the action between her and Morelli as well, am I the only one who wants them to get it together and settle down?!

I'm sending this off to WelshHelen as soon as I have an address - she is working her way through the series as well.
