RELEASE NOTES:
On table in laundromat in about an hour.
I found this in the Shell laundromat in Astoria. It has been recommended to me by a friend, so I look forward to reading it!
I was surprised (pleasantly so!) by this book. Although I have read and enjoyed a number of Grisham's legal thrillers, I have never thought of him as a particularly deep writer. "A Painted House" had a depth of insight into childhood and rural America which I was not expecting. I found the story--apart from a few scenes of baseball & cotton picking, which dragged on a bit--both interesting and moving. I plan to release it somewhere in Göteborg this weekend: more info on that to come! :-)

Pretty nice read. Not quite the suspense kind that Grisham is known for
but good nonetheless.
