A friend was having a clear out so I rescued this little puppy for a higher cause.

Passed on to me by Alex26. I was given another Angela Carter book by a bookcrosser (9 profane pieces). Although I had some mixed feelings about it, they were mostly possitive and I certainly wanted to read something else by the same person so I was very glad to get this one.
More when I've read it!
I read and really enjoyed this book. I thought it was much better than the other one I read by the same author. I liked the way she mixed the vile with the beautiful, hope and disapointment. It was a little hyper-real, enough to feel like a picture being painted rather than too much which for me is a little alienating.
I have passed this book onto a friend in Berlin who I hope will enjoy this too.
