Except for the title story, I found this collection of short fiction extremely compelling. I had read Lahiri's novel, The Namesake, which was very good, too, but I think she has a real talent for short prose. Her characters, their conflicts, their idiosyncrasies, all come alive. I hope whoever finds this book in the wild will love it as much as I did.
