"The fifth novel in the now legendary BRENTFORD TRILOGY". Hmmm. Didn't Douglas Adams do that joke first?
There is nothing more powerful than a bad idea whose time has come. And there can be few ideas less bad or more potentially apocalyptic than that hatched by genetic scientist Dr Steven Malone. Using DNA strands extracted from the dried blood on the Turin Shroud, Dr Malone is cloning Jesus. And not just a single Jesus, he's going for a full half-dozen so that each of the world's major religions can have one. It's a really bad idea.
In Brentford they've had a really good idea. They're holding the Millenial celebrations two years early to avoid the rush and it promises to be a party of this, or any other century. Unless, of course, something REALLY BAD were to happen...

This book is just totally crazy !
I read part of it at the information desk of the library I work and I had to try not to giggle and it was quite hard. I just don't wanna think of the readers who saw me with a huge smile on my face 8-D
Sometimes the book reminds me of "Good Omens" by Pratchett and Gaiman.
I thank you again for sharing this book \o/
Let it travel to the States now...

Intreesting book. Not one I'd normally read but it kept me entertained. It is a page turner. Easy to get into. Though I expected the ending.
Sorry for the delay. Will get it out ASAP!

I read this immediately after finishing "The Eyre Affair." I think my eyes are permanently crossed now! Loved the humor, though once in a while it seemed a bit more male-oriented.
Rankin reminds me of Pratchett -- what great imagination!

Robert Rankin is one of the many guys who can occasionally make me laugh.
I much prefer the Brentford books to any of his others. This one is not a bad effort. The jokes are recycled, though.
This will be on its way to PepperVL shortly.
