Picked this up at Costco.
10/13/5 - A slight, poetic, little story about a 14 year old orphan living at Ala Moana Beach park in Honolulu and how he connects with the other street people he encounters. It seemed kind of a YA level story in that protagonist seemed relatively one-sided. The description of this environment seemed very accurate. Apparently the author spent a lot of time there doing physical rehab and working as a "mouth-brush artist" while recuperating from a diving accident that left him paraplegic.
