A very interesting subject but I don't think she's a very good writer. Despite this she still managed to get a regular column in the Guardian so maybe I'm not the best of judges!

I caught the book on a weekend spent with my parents, sister and daughter. We were visiting the CAT centre and I found it as we were leaving.
I enjoyed reading the book, the stories were thought provoking and sometimes disturbing. I did feel that some thing has been lost in the translation of the text which is why perhaps the previous reader did not think the writer was that good.
