I'm putting together a home. I've been through countless decorating magazines and decorating books checked out of the library. I had to pick this one up the other day as I was so astonished to find a decorating book that essentially names the decorating style I'm adapting for my new home. I'm looking forward to reading it and using it.

Peach walls and happiness...I found the courage for this new chapter in my life, partly in this book. There was one room that I did not paint before I moved in, the office-jumble room. Somehow I just couldn't find the time and found myself enjoying the rooms that were adorned with my colors and the ones from the previous owner that I consciously choose to keep. What should I do with that room? Was a nagging question. The restrained elegance of the Peach of the Manhattan townhouse on page 3, finally helped me to chose a sort of power Peach. I was afraid it could be too feminine--but so far I'm loving it. I now have a direction for this room, which is actually a very important one to me. I'm letting this book go to celebrate nokturnalmuse's birthday. I noticed that she and I joined bookcrossing on the very same day. Who knows? Maybe she'll wind up with Peach walls too.
