Excruciating disappointment from an author who, basically, had me at hello. Seriously, I LOVED her other two books and couldn't wait for this one, so when I read it and found it to be so different, I was just crushed. Somebody take this out of my sight, please. *sob!*

I can't believe I forgot to do my journal entry for this one. I read it about a month ago, and I have to say that I actually really liked it. It was light reading, but that was nice for a change. It was just so fun reading about all the ya-yas and their experience of raising their children and how exciting things always were. I'm sure it's not very realistic, but being the mother of a very active 2 year-old, I could really appreciate the creative ways the ya-yas dealt with things. I also really enjoyed the fact that the book was written from the perspective of many different people. The one part that didn't really fit in was the whole kidnapping ordeal. Other than that, I was quite happy with the book. Thanks ScrappyCat!
