2 journalers for this copy...
I picked up this book at the local library booksale. Seemed interesting premise. You solve the crimes committed in the book. Okay.. the scheme worked and I bought the book.
I began reading the book figuring that I could figure out who dunit, I mean I have read lots of mystery books, seen lots of movies and figured out the bad guy WAY before the book or movie had ended. I can figure this out.
Began reading the book, not doing to bad. Have the possible murderer of the first victim down to 2 people. Oh crap! There goes another family member! Narrowed down the possible murderer to 3 people. Holy crap someone else dies. Hmm... could the murderer(s) of the two people be working together to achieve whatever goal they had? Crap! Another one dies! I have no clue who could of done this one! Before I even have a chance to mentally come to grips with the character dying--her twin dies! AAUUGGHH! This pattern goes on and on till 8 people are dead. I am now mentally drained, but glad I am not a freind/family member of this unfortunate family, yet I feel dumb that I can't figure out who killed whom.
I finish the book figuring that I could find the "sweepstakes" guess as to who killed whom, I mean, you can find anything on the internet, right? NOPE! Just references that this book is out of print and caused quite a stir when it was first published. Read the fine print of the original contest and if you wanted the answers you had to let them know by 5/28/86. HOLY CRAP!
If anyone finds out the solution, please let me know!!!
