The Mysterious Mr. Quin

I've had this one for a while and only now hace gotten around to reading it. My edition is not the one pictured, but an earlier edition. This is a collection of Christie stories about Mr. Harley Quin.
About the stories:
A conjurer of skill with an instinct for detection, Mr. Harley Quin has an almost magical flair for appearing at the scene of the most remarkable crimes. But is it just a trick of light that haunts his shadow with a ghostly apparition? Is it fate that invites him to a New Year's murder? And what forces are at work when his car breaks down outside Royalston Hall, an isolated estate with a deadly history?

Once I finally sat down to read this, I got through it very fast. I like Christie's writing and I especially like her collections of stories because you can read one (or three) while waiting for a doctor's appointment :-)
From the one other Christie book I read (also a collection) I knew I like the Harley Quin character so I expected t o like this book, and I did. There's definitely something supernatural about Mr. Quin and it makes you wonder just exactly who/what he is. Though these stories were written in the 1930s, they don't see outdated really and could likely easily be moved into modern times. Except, of course, with Gil Grissom and the CSI team on the case, not so many murders would go unsolved or just accepted as suicide!
