NASA mystery from Dan Brown, who is famous author of bestseller The Da Vinci Code.

Definitely resfreshing, because there is no Vatican and Catholic Church in this one. This is about NASA and the president of the USA. Long story short, NASA makes a discovery and naturally there is something odd in it. The election is coming and the world is going to change.

Not bad at all, though I didn't have any expectations before this. Maybe mind should always be in blank state before reading new book.. It may not be so good, if you already think that Dan Brown sucks or something like that.

Deception Point was one of the books that followed me home from the BC September meet-up :-)

I now have an alarmingly huge pile of books waiting to be read! Since EkaVekara is getting desperate for more Dan Brown, I'm handing the book over to him for a while... or at least until I find the time to start reading it.

Having just read The Da Vinci Code, I expected something similar. But this one was really much better. More action, thrill, and you never know who's on whose side. Delayed disclosures of key points were a bit annoying.

For the past week, Deception Point was adorned with two bookmarks as Eka and I took turns racing through it.

To begin with, I prepared for the worst after the major disappointment of The Da Vinci Code. However, there turned out to be a special drive in Deception Point. Whatever spirit the Da Vinci babble was lacking, proved very much alive and kickin' in this novel. Sadly, the story lost its magic touch halfway through the book, and the weaknesses of the familiar Brown pattern started to evolve.

[6/10] To the BC October meet-up.

This was very much a typical Dan Brown -book. The best part of the book were the trivial random facts about science and other stuff. The rest was somehow not that interesting. Too much politics I guess. The characters weren't as irritating as in the other books, but still there was too many Brown clichés used. I still think Angels and Demons is the best of Browns books.
