Very interesting account of the life of the Royal Family of Iran before the Islamic revolution which took place there in recent times. I found the book to be a bit self serving in parts but on the whole it was a fascinating account of the challenges of bringing an ancient country into a more modern, western society. Which failed miserably. It made me feel rather pessimistic about the future of Iraq and the methods which are being employed to make changes there.
