I have loved all the books I have read by William Boyd in the past, so I was pleased to be able to pick this one up second hand. A fantastic story of the life of John James Todd, who it's hard to remember, is a fictional character. Very powerful and immensely enjoyable, I couldn't put it down. (Different cover Penguin edition)

I tried to read this and really couldn't get into it. What I did read was good but it obviously isn't my cup of tea.

Wow!! This book has been at the OBCZ for a long time! The shelf was nearly empty but I wanted some books for the newer OBCZ.
