My interest in this book was as a first novel. However the subject matter was frankly very hard for me to handle, being a somewhat Lolita like theme, with an added tragic element and a very graphic description of how destructive erotic love may become. Having said that some parts are well handled, the erotic/poetic and literary refererences are enjoyable. Certainly you are given to almost understanding what is going on and the closing message of the book is good in the circumstances, if a little glib. I am still not sure what I make of this book and would be very interested to read further reviews.
DO MAKE SURE YOU HAVE AN OPEN MIND IF YOU ARE TO READ IT THOUGH!
