I read Dracula many years ago but want to give it another try. Growing up in NE Yorkshire, I was a regular visitor to Whitby when I was a child. In recent years I've discovered extensive family history roots in the town and at Staithes a bit further up the coast. Interesting place, Whitby.

It was a blustery April day in Whitby. We had by chance happened to coincide our visit to Whitby with a Goth Weekend ... so when we came across a copy of Dracula left on a bench next to the graves in the Abbey we felt we should take it up!

I read it with some trepidation as having completed a degree in English Lit .. thought i should know a bit about the book .. that and being a Yorkshire lass too!

Thank you to the person who thought to leave it on the bench on that weekend too ... we are still readin it .. and trying not to think about the film we watched of Dracula when we got home too .. which we found in the newly opened OXFAM on the same day ... Dracula - tastic : )
