I have not yet read this book. It is promised to "krissa" when I finish it. I have heard mixed reviews about it from other people who read it. My dad said is was "okay". When a co-worker saw me reading it she said "that's a *great* book! I bawled! My roommate hated it!" I will let you know what I think.

This is the best book by John Grisham that I have read. It is quite the departure from his legal thrillers. Certainly does not inspire me to become a cotton farmer! I stayed up far too late last night reading it, which I only do when I really get into a book. =^..^=

Recieved this book in the mail today, one day after calgarykitty sent it!
very interesting. narrated by a 7 year old boy who lives on a cotton farm and dreams of being a baseball player. fabulous story, kept me reading. very different from Grisham's usually lawyer/suspence novel. lots of secrets and a guilty conscience form the one person who knows all (the 7 year old) keep this story going.

I am taking it to the unofficial meet-up tonight to past along to another bookcrosser. If no one wants it I'll leave it on the shelf on the raised level.

I grabbed this book tonight at the unofficial BookCrossing meet-up. I'm looking forward to reading it, and as soon as I'm finished, it will be passed on to another bookcrosser!
