Bought in a charity shop to read and release. I've read 'The Millstone' by Margaret Drabble and have another one at home on the TBR pile - hopefully not the same one...

Well, I finally got round to reading this - 6 years on! I don't know which other Margaret Drabble I had on Mt TBR, but I did enjoy this one - a beautifully written book about class and kinship, particularly the relationship between mothers and daughters. It focused on the lives of three generations of women from a Yorkshire mining village, and in particular on education and 'escaping' from the town. A clever book, well worth a read - I'm sorry I left it so long!
