#1 Hannah Swensen Mystery

From the back cover:
Take one amateur slueth. Mix in some eccentric Minnesota locals. Add a generous dollop of crackling suspense, & you've got the recipe for this delicious new mystery series featuring Hannah Swensen, the red-haired, cookie-baking heroine whose gingersnaps are almost as tart as her mouth & whose penchant for solving crime is definitely stirring things up.

Hannah already has her hands full trying to dodge her mother's attempts to marry her off while running The Cookie Jar, Lake Eden's popular bakery. But once Ron LaSalle, the beloved delivery man from the Cozy Cow Dairy, is found murdered behind her bakery with Hannah's famous Chocolate Chip Crunchies scattered around him, her life can't get any worse. Determined not to let her cookies get a bad reputation, she sets out to track down a killer. But if she doesn't watch her back, Hannah's sweet life may get burned to a crisp.

Offering this up as an International Ring, my first venture into ringing!

Happy Reading!

Thanks very much scotsbookie, and for the lovely postcard - will look great on my postcard wall! The book looks like a lot of fun. I have one book in front of it, but will read asap - especially as I'm on holiday next week :o)

I'm sorry I held on to this book so long Scotsbookie, I tried to start reading it a couple of times, but I just couldn't find anything in it to capture my interest. The characters have no depth, the dialogue is stilted and the plot, the little I read, predictable. Very disappointing as it seemed like such a fun premise.

But I hope the future readers like it more than I did. I have platypussj's address so I'll be sending it on to her today.

I've been away for 10 days, just got back last night to find this book waiting for me. I have another book-ring book to finish first (it's a quick read), then I'll be devouring this one! I've noticed there are recipies - I'd better lock the food cupboards and hide the key before I start to read this one!!!

In the grand scheme of murder mystery novels this would definitely be categorised as cozy. I found this a very easy read and I enjoyed it; quite fun but rather 'chick lit'!

Don't read when hungry - all the talk of cookies made my mouth water.

Received and awaiting a nice cosy read :0)

As previous readers have suggested this is a very easy read without much to challenge you. At first I was a bit put off by the cosy- all American style, but once I started to ignore that it was a fun and quick read. Very harmless, and totally different to the gorey Patricia Cornwell's I normally read!
Will PM areir to send on :0)

Journal Entry 11 by lostbookisland on Monday, September 25, 2006
This book has washed ashore at the Lost Book Island after not being heard from for many months. This new arrival will be shown to a room and be allowed a bit of rest before being introduced to the many fun things to do here at the island.

All around there are books sipping cool drinks under shady palms while other books participate in a wide variety of beach sports. There is plenty of sand, surf and sun here for all of the lost and wayward books to enjoy.

It is hoped that very soon a new journal entry will come to rescue this book from the island and send it back out into the BookCrossing world so that it may continue on its journey. It is hoped that the new journal entry will tell all the interested parties where this book has been this long time and where it will be traveling to next.
