It was nothing Petra would have ever noticed, even if it had stared her in the face. And her initial reaction is big deal.
Detective Petra Connor is working Hollywood Homicide solo. She's struggeling with a baffling drive-past murder when Isaac Gomez, a young research prodigy, tells her he's found something she might want to look at. His theory that there's a connection between six unsolved murders committed in the LAPD area over the past six years, all at around midnight on June, 28, seems fanciful at first - but soon the links become clearer. Something evil has managed to conceil itself between the dry pages of a file: a series of killings so meticulously constructed that the mind behind them would have remained invisible without Issac's sharp probing. And June 28 is just a month away - will Petra be able to stop the murderer from striking again?

I have never read a Jonathan Kellerman book before, but I think, this will change in the future! Searching on my shelf I can see, that I have at least one other book from this author and one written together with his wife - they will be read rather soon!"Twisted" is very well written story about 2 disconnected crimes, that do not mix with each other at the end, which I like. (I find it rather unbelievable that always two different cases, that are very disconnected at the end are entangled...) Petra tries to solve cases sometimes without her superior - not necessarily because she does not involve him, but because he or colleagues are not reachable.
In the end Petra can solve the two disconnected cases, but until it is solved the book is rather a page turner. I read the 510 pages in less than 36 hours (being in the hospital bed)...
