What Would Buddha Do?

The book includes a plug for a 'WWBD' bracelet. I've since found out this book and bracelet were 'an answer' to the 'What Would Jesus Do?' bracelets of which over 14 million have been sole (although I'm not aware of having seen any).
I like the idea of the book, and of approaching a situation thinking 'What Would Buddha or Jesus Do?', but I thought the bracelet was jumping on a bandwagon.
The book itself includes quotes from Buddhist writing in response to 101 of 'Life's Daily Dilemmas' including 'What would Buddha do about lying?' and 'What would Buddha do about that coffee habit?' (The answer is drink tea - I actually raised this thing that Zen Buddhists have about tea in a Buddhist meeting - apparently one of the Masters involved in spreading Buddhism was also responsible for bringing tea with him too). Ultimately, the answer, whether a tea or coffee drinker is 'Ask yourself who is master, you or those things you "need". If it's not you, something is wrong'. So apparently you can have too much tea too.
