This came through the mail from woodsroy earlier this week. It is a wonderful story! I'm about half way through and the plot just keeps drawing me in.

Oops! I thought I had journalled my final thoughts on this book. I enjoyed this a lot. It switches back and forth between the past and the present for the characters, and that helps add to the uncertainty of who did what. By the end, you'll know that the title is both literal and metaphorical.

I have mixed feelings about this book. At times it would seem so dreary and plodding that I'd be ready to give up on it, but then some other twist would enter the story and I would just have to see what happened next. I suppose that's the mark of a good book but somehow the ending left me unsatisfied.
