Orange Wednesday
4 journalers for this copy...
Brunel has been forgotten by the army for 2 years, left in charge of the ‘Moribund Documents Section’ in a sleepy German spa town of Fulsbad; with his drunk cat, a cowboy-costume-wearing ex-Nazi, a doting landlady, and trying to fend off a 15 year fraulein with a crush on him. Then the real world comes crashing in on his well-ordered world; the intrigue that is ‘Orange Wednesday’; high diplomacy, low politics & dangerous passions.

Sending to my NSSVS partner - enjoy!
Received today as part of a fantastic NSSVS package. Thank you very much pennywhistler.
Leslie Thomas is a favourite author of mine, and I enjoy his humour, strange situations (bordering on the farcical) and characters that seem to be the eternal underdogs. I shall lokk forwadr to reading this book.

It took a while to get to it but I've just finished it. The brief note I wrote when I first received it seems to have been very apt. An early work of Leslie Thomas and maybe not quite at his best, but it still involves the army, absurdity and underdogs.
