I gave this book to my mother, and tonight (while at my home hunkering down for a possible hit from Hurricane Rita) she returned it with a post-it note comment: Great read. I recommend it.
I probably will read it next.

Finished it tonight. Wonderful book. Written in a simple, yet evocative style. Lahiri's Interpreter of Maladies is now going on my wish list.
11/12/05 - Mailed to zzz in Serbia today via BookRelay.com
They said it would take 4-6 weeks but often it goes faster than that.

Book arrived today but I'm afraid it has been in contact with water, like it was on the rain (don't know is it during the transport or...). Anyway it's nothing too serious, only cover art; of course it is absolutely readable and I cannot wait. I'm thinking to nominate this one in my Book Club :)
gnissorckoob thank you so much for sending it to the other side of the Planet!!!
This is Jhumpa Lahiri!

Me again. (I dont have the book any more -- just want to make a comment.) Hey, zzz, I think that water smeared look *is* the cover art! Anyway, enjoy the book.
Me again. Saw the movie last week. Recommended!
Received the book in the mail. Thanks!!
Also many thanks for the neat postcard

My mom, AceofHearts, passed away from breast cancer on September 17, 2013. Aside from being one of the best people I know, she was an avid reader and took immense pleasure in Bookcrossing, her book club, and reading many great books. Unfortunately she didn't get around to reading this book.
I will be releasing this in my mom's memory.
