This is a big book-- about five hundred fifty pages with smallish print. I'm about half-way through and I'm still not quite sure how I feel about it. It is well-written and the characters are interesting. They're deeply flawed, but in that ordinary way. It is very comfortable and realistic, but maybe too much so. But I'm still working on it. I'll try to work through my ideas on it once I have finished it, but it's not at the top of my list right now.

Not sure what to write? You might let us know where you found this book, what you thought of it (did you like it?), what you think about BookCrossing, and what you're going to do with this book.

I can't leave a rating at the moment because I just found this book. But I happened to be picking up some food outside the Pickadilly Pub with my grandmother (I am 15 years old). I'm staying with my family at a Residence Inn because we are in the process of moving to California. To get back on track, I had heard a little bit about Book Crossing, and I've been thinking about researching into it. So, at the Pub, I was telling my grandmother about the bookshelf I want to design, and the food arrived so I walked it out to the car while she paid for it. I looked down and saw The Cider House Rules by the wonderful John Irving (I've read A Widow for One Year, The World According to Garp, and the Fourth Hand) with a note on it. There was the Book Crossing notice inside. I'm excited about reading it after I finish my current novel. I'll let you know how it goes. Thank you so much for opening me up to this transplendant experience. This book will follow a long journey to California with me, so it will end out on the other end of the U.S.!
