The Genesis Code

*530 pages*
ITALY: a dying doctor makes a chilling confession to the priest in a remote hillside village.
WASHINGTON DC: a mother and her yound son are savagely murdered. Their house is then burned down.
JOE LASSITER, the woman's brother, discovers a chain of similar killings around the world.
What is the link? Who are the shadowy, merciless killers? And what is the Genesis Code, the secret so unthinkable that powerful men will do anything to make sure it remains in the grave?
~ This book was given to me. I probably wouldn't read it so it's better off somewhere else in the world ~

so sorry for the delay X .. enjoy!
Girl, you offer me this book and you are sorry for the delay??? Crazy woman! Sent it airmail and everything! Thank you so much, cosmic. I was really interested in the premise for this one (I like these kind of thrillers!) so I can't thank you enough for sending it my way. Off it goes to my mountain of TBR doom but I hope not to take a year to read it -- which seems more and more likely with the state of my pile of TBR books! *wide eyed look*
Hugs!
Hugs!
Sending this out as a Bookray after letting it linger for a long time on my TBR shelves, gathering dust.

I went to visit my family and while there this book arrived! I will be sure to read it as soon as I can and get it off to the next person on the list! Thanks for sharing!
I really enjoyed this book! I was so interested in finding out what the Dr. had told the priest. Then when Joe starts to piece together information, following any lead, traveling from country to country, in search of who killed his sister and nephew...I was a goner. I couldn't put the book down! And as for when he finds the movie star on the island and her son, the events that follow are so unexpected, to finally find out why these people were being killed. The end of the book...well I always love a happy ending!! Thanks again for sharing:)
I received this book in the mail yesterday. I'm getting started on it today!

I finished reading it in record time, just couldn't put it down!
This must be one of the best thrillers I have ever read, with lots of action, and medical and religious intrigues...
Moreover, the plot is impeccable, and it is very well written and easy to follow...
Even though it is not that original, this is a new treatment of the idea (I don't want to spoil it for anybody!)
And I loved the way the author moves us from setting to setting: the Vatican, Zurich, the U.S.A.... he seems to have been everywhere, according to the rich descriptions... Not to mention the little town of Montecastello, and its picturesque pension.
Sometimes I could guess what was going to happen; this is the only catch. Maybe I have read too many mysteries...
Looking forward to finding more novels by John Case; if they are half as good, they are good for me!
Thanks for sharing it, Xeyra (you should definitely read it sometime!). And thanks for sending it through, Rrrcaron.
I have FireOpal's address, and it will soon be on its way to her.
