This book is actually the 2nd in a 3 book series, but I didn't know that when I read it...

I've recently finished the first one called "The Face of Deception" and I've got the 3rd book waiting for me as well "Body of Lies".

These books are about Eve Duncan, a woman whos daughter was kidnapped and she became involved in finding missing children by reconstructing skulls to match up with photos. In this book Eve tries to stay one step ahead of a killer who seems to have infomation about her daughter.
