Not a Geocacher, just fancied a book exchange.
Not great. I guess the best thing about this book is the Austen references and parallels which supposedly drive the story forward. Each character has a past which would make a good novel on it's own, but the collective story is all a bit same-same, is this as bad as middle class American life gets, twaddle. None of the characters are particularly likelable, some of the women in particular are snooty and judgmental in the extreme. I also couldn't get on with the writing style which often came from the perspective of a third, un-named, somebody. Why couldn't the characters speak for themselves? or am I missing something! Not a long book, but took ages to finish, which is always a bad sign.
